The event page

What you do on the event page in Flooptimize: overview, days, sales points, the Shifts tab, and strip planning for this job.

What an event or job is lives in what is an event or a job?. This article is the screen you open once that job exists: the event page.

You are inside this one job. Festival weekend, catering job, match day. Everything that belongs to that job sits here: days, places, shifts, strip planning. You do not need the calendar or the Shifts menu to see how this event is put together.

What you come here to do

On the event page you set the job up and keep it up to date.

Typically:

  • set the days
  • link sales points or zones to those days
  • generate shifts (or see which ones already exist)
  • at a glance: how many shifts, how many still open
  • on a larger or multi-day event: strip planning, to see overlap and gaps across places

Assigning people at scale often happens next in personnel planning. The event page is the job itself, not planning across events.

What is on the page

The tabs are the names you see in Flooptimize.

Overview. Status, period, location, client where that applies. How many days, how many sales points, how many shifts, how many still open. From here you can edit the event and generate shifts, once days and places are in place. See shift rules and generation.

Event days. The dates of this job. A one-day job has one. A festival weekend two or three. Each day has times. Without days, no shifts. Working one of those days: the event day.

Sales points. Which trucks, bars, or zones on which day. Headcount per place. Concepts are optional; how useful they are depends on how your company works. More: concepts and sales points.

Shifts. All shifts for this event. Not the Shifts page in the menu (that is your whole set, you filter it yourself). Here: only this job.

Strip planning. A timeline across the places on this event. Useful when you need to see whether breaks line up, whether two trucks overlap, or where Saturday still has a gap. One bar on one afternoon: you often skip this.

Also, if you use them: products on the places, contact people. Not a required set.
