An event has one or more days. On the event page that is the Event days tab.
This article is about one of those days: Saturday of the festival, the match day, the catering job on 12 September. Who is where, what is still open, what you change just before or on the day.

What you see on that day
On the day you look at the places and shifts that belong to that date.
In practice:
- which sales points or zones run that day
- how many people you need per place
- which shifts exist, with role and function
- what is already filled and where a gap remains
Filling open shifts is done from this day, or in personnel planning. The Shifts page is the flat list across everything. You do not open that to get “today” done.
Why this helps just before or on the day
Days ahead you work the whole job: set days, link places, generate shifts.
Just before or on the day the question gets narrower. Is the bar staffed? Anyone missing at the gate? Do the times still match how the event is running?
Then you do not want to scroll the whole job, and you do not want a spreadsheet that mixes the whole weekend. One day, the places of that day, the gaps of that day.
Small one-day event? Then the job and the day are almost the same. Multi-day, or several zones in parallel? Then zooming into the day pays off.
Last-minute changes and the portal
Something moves: someone swaps, a place opens later, a couple of extra hands. You change that on the shift or on the day.
What the worker needs sits on the shift in the employee portal: times, place, briefing. Chat stays chat. You do not need to message the whole group again because the start moved half an hour, as long as the shift in the portal is right.
